The CDI or HKZ as it is known in Germany, is the high-voltage condenser ignition control unit. Aging CDI / HKZ units lead to deterioration of performance with time. A failing unit's symptoms include a fluctuating tach, stalling, loss of power to the ignition coil and no start situations, leaving you stranded.

We strongly recommend replacing the ignition coil with part # 90160250200EQ and the green trigger wire part # 93060290701
