This upgrade replaces the original bushings with precision ball bearings, eliminating any sloppiness and play in the stock shifter. Drivers benefit from shorter, more accurate, and enhanced bolt-action shifting throws, resulting in modern shift precision. The shifter is 30% lighter due to the removal of excessive stock parts, is CNC machined from aerospace-grade aluminum, and includes stainless steel hardware for years of worry-free operation. Features:
Original Fitment: The shifter easily bolts on without any need for fabrication or modifications and reuses the original shift boot. Simply remove the stock shift lever, tunnel tube, and forward rod, and then bolt the Numeric Racing Short Throw Shifter on (a lift is recommended). In the longer throw setting, the shifter position is the same and will be angled exactly like the original. In the shorter throw setting, it will sit 1/2" (12 mm) higher than the stock shifter. Please note that it's not recommended to be used with all Golden Rods due to some of them being slightly longer than the stock rod. We recommend installing the Numeric Racing Short Throw Shifter with the Numeric Racing Adjustable Shift Rod to save on labor costs. The Numeric Racing Adjustable Rod is our part # FVD424057

Patented Adjustable Throw: The shifter provides a 40% reduction in throw, which equals a 1.1" reduction for each gear. This results in shorter and crisper throws, eliminating long and sloppy shifts. There's also an option for a 33% reduction in throw length, giving you the flexibility to choose based on your preference. Numeric Racing holds the patent for this unique ability to adjust the throw by using multiple hole positions on the lever, making it truly one-of-a-kind.

Ball Bearings on Every Moving Axis: The original shifter is prone to developing resistance, slop, and play over time due to its bushings and metal-to-metal contact points. Numeric Racing's Short Throw Shifter, on the other hand, employs a superior ball-bearing design for the pivot points, guaranteeing precise shifts by eliminating any play from the shifter. Unlike other aftermarket shift kits, Numeric Racing's design eliminates the forward shift rod which relies on bushings as the pivot point and restricts adjustability due to contact with the heat shield. By eliminating the forward rod, Numeric Racing can achieve a 40% and 33% reduction in throw length, resulting in short, crisp shifts.

All Stainless-Steel Hardware: Rest assured that all hardware is crafted from stainless steel, and every piece of aluminum is anodized. With Numeric Racing Shifters, rust concerns will be a thing of the past.

The bottom hole on the shift rod is the shortest throw position (40%) and is best suited for racing, the top hole on the shift rod is a slightly longer throw position (33%) which is best suited for the street.
