In different Situations with tiptronic cars the maximum power will be 580HP. But the maximum Power of the Engine stays at 610 HP. To protect the transmission the Tiptronic DME will regulate the power to maximum 580 HP.

FVD DME / ECU Programming Philosophy:

For more than 20 years, FVD-Brombacher has been setting the standard for Porsche Engine Management software tuning. FVD-Brombacher has perfected the art of Porsche tuning making substantial gains in horsepower and torque, all while retaining the drivability and most importantly reliability required in an everyday driver. These advancements have been the result of countless hours of research and relentless testing on the engine dyno, at the track and most importantly on the street. We program our ECU's with the following modifications in mind:
  • Removal of the top speed limiter
  • Increasing the rev limiter
  • Modifying ignition timing
  • Increasing throttle response
  • Optimizing Air / Fuel Ratio's
  • Modifying boost mapping (Turbo Cars)

We tune all of our performance products as well as our proprietary software on both an engine and chassis dyno to ensure accurate performance numbers and unparalleled reliability. We are currently using:

Engine Dyno – AVL Puma

Chassis Dyno - Maha LPS 3000 (AWD drums turn together – which simulates true road surface)

The graph that you see is plotted off of actual dyno runs performed at FVD-headquarters in Germany, hence the P/S and N/M instead of traditional American units of measure. The dyno sheets are presented with what we consider to be the most important data, for ease of use to our customers.
All of our extensive in house testing and relentless pursuit of perfection will ensure you, our customer, the performance you expect with the peace of mind you deserve.

FVD Export Muffler:

Included in our Level 3 Kit is the export version of the FVD sport muffler. The Export gives the 997 Turbo a more pronounced, agressive sound. This exhaust is much less restrictive than the factory which produces more power and a great sound! This exhaust is for the person who really wants to hear the deep and throaty growl the 997TT engine can make!!
  • Made of T316 Stainless (Increased corosion prevention over T304) with Highly effecient German Tri Metal 200 Cell Catalytics.
  • The Muffler will not crack under the extreme high heat off of the turbos due to our advanced mesh integration.
  • This System Weighs 37lbs and is completely modular which allows you to swap to a Catalytic Bypass Setup or a complete FVD Race Pipe Setup (Muffler Bypass).
  • Reuses Factory tips or any other aftermarket tips that fit on the stock exhaust.

FVD Headers

FVD's 997 TT Headers are much less restrictive than the factory which produces more power and a great sound!
  • Made of V4A (T316) Stainless (More corrosion resistant than T304).
  • Header tubing features a merge collector to channel exhaust gases for maximum torque gain!! Gains 15 lb. ft of torque.
  • FVD's 997 TT Headers Weigh 11lbs.

FVD Turbos

Our Variable geometry turbocharger (VTG) is designed to allow the effective A/R ratio of the turbo to be altered as the conditions change. This is done as the optimum A/R at low engine speeds is very different to the optimum at high engine speeds. By altering the geometry of the turbine housing as the engine accelerates, the turbo's A/R ratio can be maintained at its optimum. Because of this, our VTG turbochargers have almost no lag, have a low boost threshold and are very efficient at higher engine speeds.

FVD-Brombacher- Power with peace of mind
