This sport throttle body is a stealthy and cost-effective means to achieve more performance. It is a great addition for those with modified cars that desire more performance in the mid-range and top end. It will enhance performance for those with FVD Software Tuning, performance exhaust systems, Power Flow Intake Kits, larger displacements, street or race cams, etc.

This sport throttle body includes full inspection of your original throttle body to ensure proper operation after the remanufacturing process. It is then disassembled, degreased and bored to a larger diameter. Finally, the shaft is machined to accept the larger butterfly that matches the bore and all clearances are checked for precision to ensure reliability.

Regarding the bore diameter, Porsche made 2 production runs of the 986 2.5 L throttle body with part # 996 110 025 08. The first version was made for about 3 years of production and was 65 mm which we can bore to 70 mm. The second version typically had a larger wall thickness which can be bored from 65 mm to 70 mm or 72 mm depending on the wall thickness of throttle body once our manufacturer has it in hand. So rest assured we can atleast take it to 70 mm. To take full advantage of the larger bore size we have special software maps, simply purchase FVD98661810 or FVD98661810MG depending on the DME you have and mention the throttle body upgrade to our engineers.

Each throttle body is remanufactured in Germany, by the manufacturer of the original RSR motorsport intake manifolds. Quality, workmanship and tolerances are amazing but lead times can vary from a week to a few weeks' time.
