The FVD Brombacher Mass Air Flow (MAF) kit is one of the best ways to add performance to your 964. We have been selling this kit for the 964 models since 1992 with great success. The kit includes a factory air box with mass air flow meter, air intake temperature sensor, sport air filter, custom FVD software and installation instructions. We opt to use a factory air box for our sport kit to keep the intake temperatures and idle consistent while the car sits. We have experienced gains in performance that range from + 30 to + 50 Hp. The dyno sheet referenced above is from a car with FVD MAF kit plus a full sport exhaust. The units are measured in metric units PS (Hp) are the red lines and metric NM (torque) are the blue lines. Base power being the dotted line, FVD power being the solid line.

Each FVD Brombacher MAF kit includes a custom-written software file for each of your vehicle's modifications. We can write custom software for U.S motors, Euro motors, larger displacements, camshafts, sport exhaust, larger throttle bodies and lightweight flywheels. Octane ratings must be in a range from 93-100 North American ((RON+MON)/2) Unleaded Fuel and Rest of World 98-104 (RON) Unleaded Fuel for any of our FVD Brombacher MAF kits*.

Our software engineers have been trained by Bosch and Siemens in Germany, so you receive their factory expertise in writing software code for Porsche. They have been writing software for Porsche since 1983. Most importantly, our software engineers are committed to software tuning for Porsche only, so our sole purpose is to write the most polished Porsche software available in the industry. All of the OEM engine software safety features are left fully intact and are not disabled. You benefit from the added performance without sacrificing the reliability that the Porsche brand is renowned for.

Necessary information: When ordering this kit, you must provide us with the Bosch number (0261 200…), Porsche number (911/964.618…) off the DME. We will also need a complete list of all of the modifications on the car (e.g., upgraded pistons and cylinders, camshafts and light weight flywheels, etc.). Technical notes and recommendations: MAF kits run very well and produce amazing power but they require the fuel, air and vacuum system to be in proper running condition. In order for an FVD MAF kit to run well and to achieve the power stated the following is necessary: OE or Equivalent Fuel Injectors (Grey + Tan Housing) with part # PCG 606 120 A, an OE or equivalent Fuel Pressure Regulator (3.8 Bar) with part # 928 110 198 25, the O2 Sensor (Lambda Sensor) must be in the exhaust stream with part # 965 606 126 01. Vacuum leaks must not be present, the idle microswitch on throttle body must be working and the temperature sensor must see a working temperature over 115°C. For 1989-90 models, we recommend updating the throttle housing and intake manifolds to the later 1992-94 parts, like our part # FVD110001 to see the maximum amount of power.

*91 Octane North American ((RON+MON)/2) unleaded fuel cannot be accommodated. The 964 DME is too slow to correct the ignition and therefore the low octane fuel coding was installed on the wiring harness from the factory. However, with a MAF kit, we bypass this to achieve performance. If you are running 91 Octane then you would need to add a product like an octane booster to achieve the performance that we state. This kit is not C.A.R.B. certified (California) nor is it TÜV approved or EPA certified, it is for racing use only.
