And it includes an abundance of gurgling and crackling off throttle. It is louder than our street version and sport version systems. The Brombacher Edition exhaust system is manufactured by M&M Exhaust, GmbH in Germany. They produce a variety of Porsche Motorsport, Porsche Race Exhausts, and Porsche Street Exhausts. Each system is made with the highest-grade German V2A - X5CrNi18-10 - 1.4301 (T-304 L) lightweight stainless steel and is thoroughly tested for exhaust gas scavenging, velocity, thermal stress, cracking, and longevity. The exhaust sound is unmistakably Porsche Motorsports in nature and mimics the sounds of the GT3 RSR and GT3 Cup R Porsche race cars we have loved to listen to over the years. Headers -> The long tube equal-length headers start with a laser cut, stainless steel, dual-plated primary flange which is more labor-intensive to manufacture. M&M's race experience with thick, single-plated flanges warping with age, heat, and vibration led to costly performance losses which prompted them to engineer a more reliable design. Their double-plated flange allows for greater thermal expansion which dissipates heat more efficiently, which equates to greater reliability on the track or street. The primaries are hand-ported, again, this is a more labor-intensive method, but hand porting means more laminar flow which equates to greater exhaust gas velocity and more performance. The inlets lead us to the long tube, equal-length primary tubing whose diameter is selected and designed specifically for your engine's displacement. Each primary tube is mandrel bent, segmented, and purge TIG welded by hand. Segmenting strengthens the primaries and prevents stress cracks commonly found with the competition's headers. M&M back purge TIG welds each joint which reduces carbide precipitation and means seamless internal welds for more laminar flow and greater performance. This primary design method has been proven over the years under the toughest endurance racing conditions. The primary tubing leads us to the custom-made, purge TIG welded, internally blended merge collector that smoothly transitions into a larger diameter hand-ported outlet for greater scavenging effect. The merge collector incorporates a small spike (not a long pyramid spike which can warp with heat and age) at the center which helps to scavenge the flow from each adjacent pipe as the engine fires in sequence. But another key to the merge collector is the larger outlet diameter 2.75” (70 mm) which increases exhaust gas velocity and broadens the engine's torque curve all the way to the horsepower peak.

Catalytic Bypass ->-> The over-axle pipes start with a round RSR-style flange connected to the header and maintain a consistent diameter of 2.75 inches (70 mm) throughout. The larger diameter of these pipes ensures a smooth, laminar flow, and increases the exhaust gas velocity. They are equipped with a catalytic bypass design that is suitable for track use and helps to reduce exhaust backpressure, resulting in improved mid-range and top-end performance. Additionally, the exhaust note is lower, deeper, and louder. The pipes are finished with round RSR-style flanges to maintain laminar flow.

Resonator / Resonator Delete + X Pipe ->->-> The system consists of resonator sections and resonator delete sections that cater to your preference for torque, horsepower, and volume on each track. They are easily interchangeable using the four clamps provided. The X Design compensates for the backpressure loss that occurs when running without cats. This design ensures that low-end torque is not lost while horsepower is enhanced in the mid and top range of the rpms. The resulting sound is loud, sonorous, and unmistakably that of a 1,6,2,4,3,5-firing-order flat 6 Porsche. It also produces gurgles and crackles at high rpm loads, reminiscent of the retired 4.0 L GT3 RSR, and is unmistakably Motorsport in nature. The exhaust tips are large, round, straight cut that completely fills the factory bumper cutouts, adding to the dramatic effect.
