Description

Timeless lines and design language paired with genuine sportiness have characterized the classic Porsche 911 G models for decades. The 911 is known all over the world as a sports car icon. From now on, KW Variant 3 shock absorbers with independently adjustable compression and rebound dampers are available as a complete chassis set in galvanized steel housings for all Porsche 911 G models built between 1974 and 1989. With the KW dampers, it is possible to tailor the driving behavior to your personal requirements without having to make major modifications to the classic, remove the standard torsion bar springs, or time-consuming suspension strut conversions with replacement cartridges. The integrated compression and rebound adjustment wheels make it easy to adjust the recommended basic damper setup individually to your vehicle. For example, the rebound stage, which can be adjusted with 16 clicks, allows you to directly influence the handling characteristics and ride comfort. The low-speed compression valve, which can be independently adjusted in twelve clicks, can be used to further change the driving behavior of the Porsche Classic if desired. A higher compression level on the front axle enables even more direct steering and higher compression levels on the rear axle counteract oversteer. In sudden compression, such as when driving over bumps, the preconfigured high-speed compression damping allows for rapid compression and prevents jumping. A classic Porsche 911 equipped with adjustable KW dampers has much more direct handling than the standard chassis. The tire grip on the drive axle increases significantly without increasing the tendency to oversteer early. The KW dampers provide a much safer driving experience and the typical oversteer becomes more neutral. The torsion bar springs that are standard on the front and rear axles can also continue to be used. When purchased and installed from a KW specialist retail partner, the certified partners provide the proven KW 5-year additional guarantee on the KW damper set. When replacing the standard dampers with the adjustable KW dampers, it is not necessary to enter this in the vehicle documents.
