Necessary when replacing your windshield as this seal retains the windshield in the body and prevents moisture from getting in.We recommend replacing the inner sealing frame ( 944S2/Turbo and 993, 968 have no inner seal) as well, part # 993 = 99354143501 and 944S2/Turbo 94455954303.
Porsche replaced the old seal into this one for 993. To use it for Transaxle model you will need to cut the seal, as best at the original welding point.
