This is our Jekyll and Hyde muffler offering specially developed for the 987.2 Cayman R with the factory Porsche Sport Exhaust Option. This muffler complements the racing heritage of the R with an exotic motorsport exhaust note. It is the perfect compromise for you and your loved ones. Rich, deep race car tones with the valves open and soft subtle, stock like sounds with them closed. Top of the line or range depending on the English and is the best choice for a daily driver.

The Brombacher Edition 987.2 Cayman R sport muffler varies greatly from designs that are common in the aftermarket. This muffler is uniquely made from German V2A - X5CrNi18-10 - 1.4301 (T-304 L) lightweight grade stainless steel and includes double perforated sound absorption tubes based on the Halbgegenstromprinzip (half counter current principle). The acoustic silencer absorption tubes are made in a trapezoidal pattern and are perforated with varying diameters. This design isolates and dampens the unwanted frequencies that create drone. This design reduces back pressure than the more commonly used baffle plates at higher gas velocities. So, you will experience larger performance gains throughout the entire rev range with better throttle response, especially when paired with software, intake and further exhaust modifications. The resulting sound exhibited is a more subtle factory sound with the valves closed and a louder than PSE, exotic Cup Car like sound with the valves open.
